HomServer Backup is a private utility used by the owner of yucod.com to upload encrypted backups of a personal home server to the owner's own Google Drive. It is not a public application: it has no users other than the owner and no interface for third parties.
The application requests the Google Drive (drive) scope solely for the account the owner connected during setup. It writes encrypted backup archives to that Drive and reads them back when restoring. No other Google account data is accessed — no mail, contacts, calendar or profile information.
All files are encrypted on the server before upload (rclone crypt); both file contents and file names are encrypted, and the encryption key never leaves the owner. Data is transferred directly between the owner's server and Google Drive. There are no intermediary servers, no analytics and no telemetry. Data is never shared, sold or disclosed to third parties. Retention is controlled by the owner and old copies are deleted automatically on a configured schedule.
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
